Characterization of photoacoustic tomography based on 450 nm visible light and its application for detection of formalin fish meat

Abstract This research is motivated by the behavior in community that preserves fish meat using a dangerous chemical substance, namely formalin. Research has been carried out on detection of formalin 450 nm light-based laser photoacoustic imaging tool to characterize image system detect meat, determining relationship average sound intensity obtained, as well differences tomography images concentration and duration values—immersion solution. Variations solution used were 10%, 30%, 50%, 70%, 90%, variations immersion for 24 hours, 48 72 96 120 hours. The results this study indicate device based diode can distinguish tomographic from tested samples. increase value time resulted linear acoustic level.
